The second annual Country Edge, an outdoor country music concert and street festival, will be held Friday, Sept. 8 in downtown Edgerton. This is the night before Chilimania and serves as the official Chilimania pre-party.
Nashville star and nationally touring artist Keith Anderson will headline this year’s County Edge at 9PM on the Chilimania Main Stage. Anderson is best known for his top-10 hits, “Pickin’ Wildflowers” and “Every Time I Hear Your Name.” Also an accomplished songwriter, he has penned many huge songs, including the No. 1 smash, “Lost In This Moment” for Big & Rich. Local favorites Pink Houses will open the night, playing all your favorite country and pop hits.
Admission is $8 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Tickets will be available at the gate. Country Edge is family-friendly and open to all ages. Food and beverages (including beer for those age 21+ with valid ID) will be available for purchase.
All proceeds from Country Edge, as well as the proceeds from the Chilimania chili cook-off and live music festival to be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, will directly benefit the Edgerton community in the form of college scholarships for Edgerton High School seniors and donations to other local nonprofit organizations and projects.
