Wisconsin Green Industry Federation’s 3rd Annual Online Auction

Janesville-based Wisconsin Green Industry Federation’s 3rd Annual Online Auction Starts March 17th. A VIP package to a Milwaukee Admirals game, tickets to Badgers and Brewers games, a gorgeous collection of garden art, a Stihl chainsaw, award-winning trees, gift cards to numerous garden centers, nurseries, hardscapers, and landscapers—those are just a few of the items being auctioned off in this year’s Wisconsin Green Industry Federation (WGIF) Online Auction, presented by the Janesville-based Wisconsin Green Industry Federation (WGIF). It will be open for bidding March 17th and continue through April 1st. The auction is open to the general public at www.BiddingForGood.com/wgif.

And this year, for every item sold in the WGIF Online Auction, WGIF will donate $5 to Make-a-Wish Wisconsin—the charity whose mission is to help kids from our state who are coping with a life-altering medical condition. Other funds raised will be used in supporting efforts in promoting healthy and in many situations, sustainable landscaping in residential and commercial environments. WGIF also supports and produces efforts in educating the public and landscape professionals on the environmental and health benefits provided by healthy landscapes in our environment.

The foundation of our green industry is research and extension in support of our citizens and the education of our green industry professionals that grow, design, install and maintain of all these living green products and related services that are the Authentic Green Industry of our state. These professionals, and their products and services enhance our quality of life and add value to our homes and businesses. All this while providing tremendous benefits to our environment by absorbing carbon, by producing the oxygen that we breathe, cooling our homes, cities and streets, providing habitat for wildlife, by providing a safe, living surface on which to play and relax, by buffering noise and visual pollution and by providing a sense of well-being in our communities and in our everyday lives.

The Wisconsin Green Industry Federation is the single largest organizational representative of the Green industry in Wisconsin.
