If I'm a registered user, can others see my personal e-mail address?The "Contact this user" functionality allows users to send e-mails to each other through our Web site. Users can send e-mails to other users using only the recipient's username. Other users do not have access to your actual e-mail address.
How far back can I search for stories, death notices, etc.?Stories, obituaries and death notices are archived back to the date of the debut of the new GazetteXtra, October 22, 2007. We do not have content posted from before that date. If you are looking for something specific, Hedberg Public Library in Janesville has all past issues of The Janesville Gazette on microfilm.
Where are the announcement forms?You can download forms for engagement, wedding, anniversary, birth or birthday annoucements in the "Contact Us" section, which you can reach by clicking here.

Do I have to pay or register for access to content on the Web site?If you simply want to view content available on GazetteXtra.com, you don't need to register or pay. If you want to comment on a story or other feature, you must register.
The Gazette does offer an electronic duplicate of the print newspaper on the Web site, but you must be a subscriber to view the electronic edition. Some content in the print edition - editorials, letters to the editor, Sound Off, Anna Marie Lux's column and some exclusive stories - are available online only to subscribers through the electronic edition of the Gazette.

Listings must be submitted at least five days in advance for consideration in the daily Every Day calendar and two weeks in advance for consideration in the weekly kicks entertainment calendar.
