Fort Atkinson shook off Nate Fredrick’s 75-yard game-opening kickoff return to post a 35-19 nonconference victory Friday night.

The Blackhawks bounced back by scoring three touchdowns for a 21-6 halftime lead.

Fort’s C.J. Zimmerman gained 180 yards on 17 carries.

Braden Tice caught a 16-yard scoring pass from jared Stan, and Stan kicked the extra point to bring the Badgers to within 24-21 in the third quarter.

Badger then won the game on Brad Schank’s four-yard scoring run in the final quarter.

Jared scored on a 35-yard run in the second quarter and a 2-yard run in the first quarter.
