Porkfest called a success
The Rock County Pork Producers are calling Wednesday night's big feed a success.
Pork Producers Treasurer John Quinn says 6200 people showed up at the annual fundraiser, which was a sell out of more than 23,000 chops. He says inflation may take a bite out of the proceeds this year however as expenses were way up.
A few sprinklers early in the evening were a concern for organizers, but they say everyone looks forward to Porkfest each year, and the crowds came.
