WCLO's Steve Benton reports the "No Wake Zone" restrictions remain on the Rock River
ROCK COUNTY The water level on the Rock River has been slowly falling, but it's still not low enough to remove the "no wake zone" ordinance.
Rock County Sheriff's Department Lt. Gary Groelle says he's monitoring the water levels, which have been falling. But recent rains temporarily reversed the trend and the ordinance remains in place.
Groelle says he'll check the levels again around May 20th to see if the restriction can be removed by Memorial Day weekend.
Although not officially summer, many people begin their serious outdoor activities on Memorial Day weekend.
