WCLO's Steve Benton reports on two new tests for Beloit School District children
BELOIT The Beloit School District is undergoing an effort to identify students in need of additional programming.
Interim Executive Director of Student Achievement, Barb Lake, says the first test is the "MAP" or Measure of Academic Progress test. Lake says starting next year, the "MAP" test will be administered three times a year.
The second test is called the Naglieri non-verbal reasoning test. It's specifically designed to find achievement levels for students with cultural barriers. Lake says this test also helps identify gifted and talented students.
Testing continues through May 23rd.
