WCLO's Steve Benton reports on flood repair work in Janesville
JANESVILLE Areas hard hit by flooding last summer, including Janesville, continue the recovery process. Janesville Parks Director, Tom Presny, says damage was monumental.
Thursday crews worked on the east river walk-way in downtown Janesville. He says Friday, the work will shift to Riverside Park.
Flood damage in the park includes trees and shrubs killed or damaged by flood waters. Presny says trees that are leaning or have fallen into the river or across the park roads will be removed.
He also expects some of the repairs to continue into next spring.
