WCLO's Steve Benton reports on a new theatrical venture in Beloit
BELOIT A local theater director and producer is starting a new venture.
Jim Tropp is well known in the region for his years of work in various theatrical productions, including the first show at the Janesville Performing Arts Center. He is basing in his new company, Wisconsin Theatre Works, in his home town of Beloit.
Tropp is putting on the theatrical adaptation of "The Christmas Story" where little Ralphie tries everything in his power to get a "Red Ryder BB gun.
Tropp will be using both professional and local talent. The venue for the production is the American Industrial Art Gallery in the Beloit Iron Works building. He is leasing the space for two months.

way to go jim......i can't wait i love "A Christmas Story" don't forget the bunny suit!!!!i am very happy you have gotten this chance to do something here in beloit. i know it will be GREAT!!!!
