Janesville Salvation Army to ring bells
Podcast Episode
WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on Salvation Army's Christmas in July plans
Janesville Salvation Army Captain Kirk Schuetz says individuals and organizations have been very generous with food donations this year.
He says the Boy Scouts, and Postal Carrier food drives helped stock the shelves. Unfortunately, need is growing faster than donations, and Schuetz says July 17th and 18th are being set aside for a bell ringing fund raising campaign. Five sites at three stores in Janesville have been chosen. This is the first time the Janesville Salvation Army has ever tried a bell ringing campaign in the summertime.
Volunteers are still needed.
