Sheridan: state budget will bring jobs to Janesville
Governor Jim Doyle is scheduled to sign the state budget Monday, marking the first time a state budget has been completed on time since 1977.
Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan says the budget is designed to bring economic development to areas like Rock County. He says the enterprise zone tax credit program is one of the most powerful economic development tools in the country because it sparks capital investment. The tax credit is intended to attract and retain businesses by triggering job retention, construction projects and economic growth.
