Blackhawk Technical College is working to develop new curriculum to keep up with the growing "sustainable" attitude in manufacturing.

BTC Vice President of Learning, Dr. Sharon Kennedy, attended the Sustainable Industry Conference at Beloit College Thursday. Kennedy hopes to learn the needs of industry, to help better prepare students for the emergency technology. She was a little surprised to learn some of the big retailers may soon require venders to use greener practices.

She expects the number of jobs in the field of sustainablity to grow, but predicting where the need will be greatest is difficult.

Green Industry? I hope what BTC currently considers "Green Industry" occupations is not what this article is talking about. http://courses.blackhawk.edu/curriculum.... I don't see alot of need for landscapers in the stateline area.
