A clue to who started the fire at Beloit's Gun Club Restaurant may be found in the liquor.

Rock County Sheriff's Captain Todd Christiansen asks anyone, learning about someone who's recently come into a large amount of "top shelf" liquor, or is trying to sell it, to contact authorities. In addition to the safe being forced open, Christiansen says a great deal of quality liquor was stolen.

The gun Club Restaurant on East Colley Road was destroyed by fire Saturday morning August 7th.

What about the owners? Word is that they liked to indulge in the "spirits" and that the place wasn't bringing in the people like they used to. hmmmmmmm

If you have ever been to the Gun Club you would realize that it's location is not the greatest as far as viewability to the public. It's down a back country road at the bottom of a hill.
It would have been very easy to break in and set it on fire and leave down the back country rd of Colley.
