Snappers study financing for new stadium

WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on a financial feasibility study due out this week

A new study may indicate financial support for construction of a new Beloit Snappers Baseball stadium.

Beloit Snappers Board Chairman Dennis Conerton says a financial feasibility study discussed the issue with 80 select panel members, and also surveyed 285 others. He says the overall reaction concerning the potential to raise funds for a new stadium was positive. He says 75-percent of the group showed support. The final report should be complete this week.

The proposed site for a new baseball stadium is in Beloit's Gateway development.
