Jonathan Carter

Beloit police name a suspect in a pair or armed bank robberies.

Jonathan Robert Carter, 29, is in Illinois where he's been sentenced to six years in prison. The Rock County District Attorney's office has issued an arrest warrant for Carter charging him with two felony counts of armed robbery.

Beloit police say Carter was involved in two bank robberies at different Blackhawk State Bank locations in Beloit. The first incident occurred in September and the second in October, days before he was arrested on other charges.

Carter could face a maximum $100 thousand fine and 40 years in prison on each of the two felony counts. The Rock County District Attorney's office is in the process of extraditing Carter back to Wisconsin.
