A new exciting type of fishing tournament comes to Beloit.

— The 2011 River Bassin Trail Fishing Tournament comes to Beloit, Saturday July 30th.

Sponsor, Walter Loos, says the eco-friendly tournament features paddle powered craft in a catch...photograph...and release type tournament. He says participants can use any "flowing" waterway within a 60 mile radius of Beloit.

The Beloit headquarters for the tournament is Paddle and Trail at 110 West Grand Ave. in Beloit. Registration ends on Friday.

Loos expects between 50 to 60 anglers will participate.
