WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on petition plans to recall governor

The Democratic Party of Rock County is preparing for a recall effort against Governor Scott Walker.

Vice Chair of Membership Vivian Creekmore says training sessions are being planned for volunteers to help with the petition drive. She says several groups will be working together, and a recall headquarters has been established at the UAW Hall in Janesville.

She says a Field organizer is working in the county this week, and the petition drive will begin November 15th.

19,000 lost public sector jobs, lowest in the nation job creation, fund raiding and a claim of budget surpluses created by delaying required payment into the next budget cycle. But we are in the top five states for population migration out of Wisconsin!!! Go!!! Out of Wisconsin!! Or Fitzwalkerstan. Imagine what we could have done with all that out of state campaign contributions.

Walker has helped a lot of people keep their jobs. We've all had to make concessions. He could have just handed out a lot of pink slips. WI now is in much better shape.

n00b,
You should have drove past the Holiday Inn Express earlier this year when Forward Janesville hosted their dinner and Governor Walker spoke. Here would have seen the out of town/out of state people, and yes, goons galore! They shouted sexual explicit comments at my wife as we drove by. Moreover, I personally know several people that have been threatened by these goons for speaking up and supporting the Governor. One threat was sufficient enough that the sheriff's department had to be contacted.
Now, if the Forward Janesville Dinner (with the Teamsters truck out front) is not enough evidence, go to youtube.com and search for the Lincoln Day Dinner down in Beloit earlier this year. There are several videos of teachers at their worst behavior. When no one paid attention to them in the parking lot, they got into their cars and drove past the building entrance repeatedly while holding down their car horns.
If you don't see what's going on, it is a choice or a lie. Either way, these things are going on.

Thanks, n00b. I have never met a union goon either.

The rants on here against union people are unbelievable.

Well I guess the UAW needs something to do.. I suppose their hall dosen't get much use these days. I wonder if just half the energy these people are using was put to good what could be the outcome? Oh yes and the money that it is going to cost to put a special election together. Keep up the good work Gov. Walker.

Totellthetruth,
Could you please provide some positive proof of the claim you have made about the out of state people hired in?
And I am not interested in some far right wing study paid for by the party being recalled but in actual real proof.
I have lived and worked in Janesville my whole life and I have held union positions as well as salaried positions for over 40 years and in all of that time I have never met ONE union goon, one threatening teacher or any out of town hired guns people are always refering too. I spent hundreds of hours earlier this year deeply involved in the Anti Walker movement on my weekends and after hours. This was after working my 50 hour work week, paying my bills, paying my tax's and raising my kids. And in all that time I had absolutely ZERO contact with an out of town hired organizer.
Stop chanting the chant and actually find out what is going on!

Nemesis, just so you know, there have been several hundred hired from out of state by out of state special interest groups and that is just for the first round. Recall Walker and you might get stuck with someone worse... The unions are not happy, that's the real beef.

I'm not party registered and I vote for the candidate and not their party affiliation the majority of the time, although i'm more conservative by nature because i'm thrifty. Regarding Gov. Walker it seems hard to argue with the results...the states fiscal house is in more order now under his new policies and budgetary modifications than it has been in for years. Good luck recalling what appears to be working. Shouldn't we be spending all of this energy on something more productive??

I am local and not part of a political group. However I will be contacting Ms Creekmore so I can help with the recall effort. Walker has to go.

Let's just hope that these groups aren't from out of state. Many times they are financed by left wing groups who chief aim is to push their own agenda here in wisconsin.
