Town of Beloit Police Sergeant Promoted to Deputy Chief
An 11 year veteran of the South Beloit police department is promoted to Deputy Chief.
The South Beloit City Council votes to promote a sergeant in the police department to deputy chief and handles the swearing in at their regular Monday night meeting.
Deputy Chief Adam Truman began his career five days before the 9/11 attacks. He's worked in various roles, including field training officer and was promoted to sergeant in 2005. He also served as Acting Chief for one year from 2009 to 2010. Truman recently graduated from the FBI Academy in Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UW Stout.
His new duties include assisting Police Chief Stiegemeier and overseeing operations including scheduling and personnel.
