If you're traveling south on I-39-90 in Illinois you notice a lot of orange cones.
The I-D-T is beginning another segment of their road widening project from the state line south to Rockton Road.
Officials say lane closures are marked and some of the preliminary work, including light pole foundations is already underway.
The road work was scheduled to get underway this week but it's been delayed until the weather warms up.
This year's goal is to re-pave the southbound roadway and replace the bridges. Last year the northbound lanes were replaced. This year's work is slated to be completed in November.
