Negotiators have compromised on a one-percent pay raise for the more than five-hundred employees in the custodial, food service, and clerical areas.
This could be the first contract for the district under act 10, which limits negotiations to wages. Considering these workers will be paying more for health insurance premiums, their take home pay will not reflect the full raise amount. Both sides still have to ratify the agreement.
The district is still negotiating with teachers.
