Andrew Olson wins at House of Mercy Charity Ball

Great support shown for Janesville homeless shelter

This year's House of Mercy Charity Ball is being called a success. The fundraising figures have been tallied up. Organizers say 250 people gathered at the Janesville County Club to help raise more than $150, 000. Proceeds form the event help the House of Mercy Homeless Center in Janesville. Officials say the continued support shown by the guests, and those who donated items, gives them confidence the center will remain open for decades to come, providing hope and new beginnings for those in need. Andrew Olson of Orfordville won the grand prize of $5000 cash, and Kevin Lloyd of Janesville won first prize of $2500.
