The Janesville Police Department has hired two new officers. Police Chief David Moore says it's good to be back to full strength. The department has hired at least six new officers in the course of the last year. Moore says the newest recruits are both from Janesville. 26-year-old Benjamin Arnold is a graduate of UW-Platteville with a Bachelor off Science degree in criminal justice. He most recently worked in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was stationed in Iraq. 24-year-old Benjamin Bowers is a graduate of UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology. Both completed the Law Enforcement Academy at Blackhawk Technical College. The Janesville Police Department has 102 sworn officers.
