Vets Roll set to leave Sunday

More than 200 Korean and World War Two veterans will be part of the Finnegan's RV led, "Vets Roll" pilgrimage to Washington D.C. next week. The excursion may leave Beloit bright and early Sunday morning, but organizer Mark Finnegan is eager to see how many people line the streets when the caravan returns Wednesday night. Not quite a military convoy, the "Vet's Roll" caravan will have more than a dozen vehicles, ten of them Badger Coaches. Including this year, the effort will have escorted 750 aging veterans to see their memorials in Washington over the last three years. Close to a quarter-million dollars was raised privately to make the trip possible. The group will return to the Eclipse Center in Beloit, Wednesday night a little after 9:00 o'clock.
