Shooting prompts SWAT stand-off

A 17-year-old Janesville boy is facing charges including Reckless Endangering Safety and Minor in Possession of a Handgun after a six hour police stand-off over the weekend.  Police say they responded to 215 Cherry Street about 5:30 Friday night for a report of a person shooting a firearm outside a residence.  Since the suspects retreated into the home, police say they needed a search warrant, which was served by the SWAT team.  Authorities say they used an armored vehicle and non-lethal chemicals to arrest Jonathan Jimenez a little before midnight.  A 19-year-old man and two teen-age girls were also arrested.  Police say the suspect was drunk.
