Beloit Schools Outsource Custodial Staff

The school district of Beloit outsources to save money.

Tuesday the Beloit school board voted five to two in favor of outsourcing the district's custodial and maintenance staff to the vendor ABM, who will in turn hire all of the district's custodial staff at their current wages for at least five years.

The move will save the district over $3 million over the first five years.

Executive Director of Personnel Services for the School District of Beloit, Todd Cabelka says the district is also looking into outsourcing information technology.
