Clinton teen wins big at state fair

18-year-old Ali Luety of Clinton has a little more money for college. The Bradford 4H and Clinton FFA member took top honors during the Governor's Auction at the State Fair this week. First her barrows Calico and Luigi achieved grand and reserve champion status, then they were auctioned off for 16-thousand and 18-thousand dollars. While this was all happening Wednesday, she noticed the banners displayed of the previous winners, dating back to 2005, were all boys. Luety by the way, was a Clinton High School co-valedictorian and may major in agriculture at U-W Madison where she plans to attend starting this fall.
