Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care enjoys an unusually well attended groundbreaking in Janesville Tuesday. Sunshine and a light breeze made for almost perfect conditions at the site on Wright Road in Janesville. Agrace CEO/President Lynne Myers called the new Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, "... a wonderful gift to the Janesville community that will allow Agrace to meet growing demand for hospice services and an immediate need for inpatient hospice beds in Rock County." The new center will feature 12 inpatient suites for acute care along with space for clinical home care operations, bereavement groups, staff, and volunteer training. A $2 million gift pledged by anonymous donors is allowing the construction to begin. The new facility should be open by next summer.
