Plans for Milton's new city hall may be moving back in with the police station. City officials had hoped to move their offices into a vacant building planned for remodeling as a police station, but construction bids were to high. The city began entertaining ideas to move into a new bank building when a new cooperative solution emerged from the minds of the architects, builders, and community leaders. The city council plans to review the new proposal and cost estimates Tuesday night. The proposal will reduced the anticipated size of the police garage, basement storage space, and other amenities, but could come in at a price city officials feel taxpayers might be more comfortable.
