Coats for Kids drive lagging behind last year

The Janesville Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will be wrapping up its "Coats for Kids" drive collection this weekend. Organizers are asking for some last minute donations. So far the number of coats dropped off in the barrels located around the city are about half of what was expected. The feeling is the unseasonable warm weather hasn't prompted anyone to consider the coming cold. Last year 900 coats were collected with most going to needy children in Janesville.
