Beloit police investigate two home invasions

Beloit police are investigating two separate home invasions.  The first happened in the 1700 block of Hurst Avenue about 8:00 p.m. Monday night.  Captain Dan Risse says the victim indicated several suspects forced entry into the home, hit the victim with a handgun, and stole electronics and cash.  The second incident happened about 9:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Roosevelt.  Risse says the victim reported several suspects forced their way into the home, a struggle ensued, and the resident was shot twice in the shoulder.  The victim was taken to Beloit Memorial for treatment.  The suspects are only described as male blacks wearing masks.
