Sheriff's Office Conducts Domestic Warrant Swwep

The Rock County Sheriff's Office focuses efforts on people with outstanding family-violence warrants.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2013, deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office worked with agencies throughout Wisconsin, as well as across the country, to arrest persons with outstanding family-violence warrants.

In concert with the National Family Violence Apprehension Detail, the Sheriff has implemented this proactive and aggressive initiative focused on persons wanted for Domestic and non-support related offenses. Arrest teams executed and cleared 5 active arrest warrants while attempting 64 more.  All told, 2 subjects posted bond while 5 were taken into custody on 3 warrants, conveyed to the Rock County Jail and held pending satisfaction of their respective court ordered detentions.

This collaborative effort helps raise awareness of the problem of family and domestic violence in our communities. It also demonstrates to offenders that they will be held accountable for their violence.

The Sheriff is on record and serving notice through participation of this apprehension detail that the Sheriff’s Office is aggressively pursuing scofflaws and serious offenders alike, in a continuing effort to hold them accountable for their antisocial and illegal conduct.
