Coats for Kids distribution called a success

Hundreds of Janesville area children, and adults, will be warmer this winter thanks to an annual "Coats for Kids" drive. Organizers for the Janesville Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary are expressing gratitude for last minute donations. Coats for Kids co-chair Lindi Paull says the unseasonably warm weather impacted donations, but $2000 came in at the last minute to help bridge the gap. Paull was among the dozens of volunteers helping dole out warm weather wear to more than two-hundred families Saturday. During the distribution, Paull was keenly aware of the growing need for winter clothing among very young children. Besides the 840 coats, more than 3000 other items, ranging from hats to boots were distributed.
