A former Janesville police officer is now the Green County Sheriff. Monroe Police Lieutenant Mark Rohloff had risen through the ranks of that department over the last 21-years and is currently the second in command. The Governor this week appointed Rohloff as Green County Sheriff to fill the vacancy created by Sheriff Jeffrey Skatrud's resignation. Rohloff says he has a long-standing professional relationship with the sheriff's department and anticipates little difficulty assuming his new position. The Governor applauds Rohloff's leadership qualities and strong character, and calls him an excellent choice. Rohloff is originally from Janesville.
