Salvation Army fundraising progressing

Donations to the Janesville Salvation Army holiday season fund drive are up compared to last year, although the number of bell ringing volunteers are down. Major Bob Fay says a total of a little more than $100,000 has been collected through the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Fay says this is almost $10,000 more than last year at the time. This may be quite an accomplishment considering Thanksgiving was later than usual this year, but Fay says they had a soft start to the campaign a little earlier than usual. This year's goal of $365,000 is $40,000 more than last year, so Fay is hoping more bell ringers volunteer.
