Arrest made in Beloit home invasion

A Beloit couple may be able to sleep a little easier after an arrest was made following a home invasion case at the Middle Street apartment. Police Captain Dan Risse says the man and woman heard their front door being kicked-in Sunday about midnight. He says two suspects entered the home. The couple was beaten and forced into a closet. Risse says the male victim was able to provide enough information to identify one of the suspects. During a traffic stop Monday afternoon, 47-year-old Leon Patterson of Beloit was taken into custody. Risse says he was arrested on charges including strong armed robbery, and substantial battery.
