Assembly representative promotes Child Death Review program

Representative Amy Loudenbeck of Clinton has authored a bill to establish a recognized Child Death Review program, and affirm the already existing system into Wisconsin law. The Republican says the CDR is a collaborative process that reviews all preventable child deaths from a public health perspective. Most other states have laws to help programs like these collect comprehensive information to make their recommendations. Loudenbeck says a law would allow the program better access to records. A committee hearing is planned Wednesday.
