AUDIO: City's snow budget is dwindling

This is becoming an expensive year for snow removal in the city of Janesville.  City Operations Director John Whitcomb isn't a big fan of ice storms like we had about a week ago.  He says it was one of the worst he's ever seen, and it consumed a lot of personel hours and resources.  Whitcomb says the impact of the recent storms isn't helping the budget.  Whitcomb requested an additional $300,000 from the city council early in the fall to cover anticipated costs of upcoming storms.  He says the additional funds may have already been used.  The city originally budgeted $1.2 million this year.
