BJSO prepares for BIFF

Members of the Beloit-Janesville Symphony Orchestra are learning how to play in a silent movie.  Conductor Rob Tomaro tells "Your Talk Show" on WCLO they're practicing for the Beloit International Film Fesitval's Silent Film Showcase.  Tomaro was surprised to learn about the growing popularity of this style of performance.  Tomaro says the challenge begins with the musical score, which includes notes about what's being scene on screen.  Tomaro says the music is never quite in sync, and the orchestra is either catching up or holding back.  The orchestra will provide music for three Charlie Chaplin films Saturday night at the Eclipse Center in Beloit.
