Non-Terminal Pig Show Canceled for 4-H Fair

The Wisconsin State Veterinarian issues a ban on spring weigh-ins for county fairs due to a deadly pig virus.

Rock County 4-H Fair Board President John Quinn says this mean the fair will change how it handles it's carcass contests.

Quinn says they're also canceling all swine shows where the animal is not slaughtered a the end of the fair.

The disease, is deadly to pigs, however it can't be spread to humans, and it doesn't affect meat quality.
