Milton extends water warning
No relief in sight for an already brutal winter, and that's prompting some local communities to extend weather related warnings. The City of Milton is asking residents to continue running a pencil-thick stream of water until the end of March. Officials had hoped to cancel the advisory this week, but residential lateral water pipes are still at risk of freezing. City officials estimate the potential for frozen pipes will not go away until the ground begins to thaw, which could be weeks away. A water credit is expected to be established.
