The Janesville Jets may be looking for a new deal with the city. The initial five-year lease with the city is coming to an end, and Wisconsin Hockey Partners are considering a change. City Recreation Director Shelley Slapak says the new deal would be for a modified one year renewal. It would include some rental relief. Slapak says having the Jets is good for the city. Slapak says city staff recommends approval of the deal in the hopes the Jets can continue to find creative ways to fill the stands with fans and a future longer term agreement can be put in place. The city council meets Monday night.
