Wind creates traffic trouble
The latest winter storm, blowing through southern Wisconsin, has kept local law enforcement and public works crews busy. Beloit Police Sergeant Ryan Flanagan says wind gusts overnight topped 50mph and crews spent their time clearing tree branches from city streets. In Janesville, police Sergeant Dean Sukus says traffic barricades marking potholes were the problem. He says they would blow down endangering motorists. He says public works crews spent their evening using sand bags to secure the barricades. Sukus suggests calling public works at 755-3110 to report any unmarked problem potholes.
