Ice shanties due off local waterways

Hard to tell when this year's ice fishing season will end.   Rock County DNR Conservation Warden Boyd Richter says the ice is still plenty thick, but fisherman he talked to said the years wasn't as good as some.  The severe weather and deep ice is considered a likely contributing factor.  Sunday March 2 is an important day for ice fishing.  Richter says shanties need to be off area waterways.  Some may have trouble because the rainy warm-up a couple weeks ago froze some shanties into the ice.  He says if it's impossible to remove a shanty, call the DNR's hot-line and leave details.
