AUDIO: JVL Council postpones vote on liquor license quota

Mixed emotions during a public hearing on a proposal to lift the City of Janesville's cap on Class A liquor licenses.

Currently the City allows one liquor store per 3,500 residents. The proposal would be to raise that quota to one liquor store per 2,500 residents.

After holding a public hearing on Monday night, the Council voted four to one to postpone a vote on the issue until the April 14th meeting. Council members Sam Liebert and Brian Fitzgerald were absent.
