Two more students expelled from Janesville schools

There have been almost three times as many expulsions in the Janesville school district compared to this time last year.

The latest round of expulsions involves one high schooler who was under the influence of alcohol on school grounds, and another who was under the influence of marijuana. That student is also accused of bringing a prescriptiond rug to school with the intent to deliver.

Both students will be eligible for early reinstatement if they meet a long list of conditions.

This brings the total number of expulsions this year to 14. There were only five at this same time last year.
