Janesville Street Crimes Unit makes two drug arrests
A 19-year-old Janesville man is facing charges as part of a police investigation into the non-fatal drug over-dose of an 18-year-old woman. Janesville police say Joseph C. VanGampler has been arrested on charges including 2nd Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place. Police say the Street Crimes Unit was investigating reports of controlled substance distribution in and around the city, when they executed a search warrant for a room at Motel 6 on Milton Avenue. Police report finding heroin portioned off into 22 individual bags, a small quantity of marijuana, and ammunition for a handgun. Police say they caught up with VanGampler at a nearby gas station. A 23-year-old Janesville woman was also arrested in the case. Kayleigh C. Gaulin-Klarich faces charges including Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin.
