Janesville police respond to burglary, arrest suspects and victims

Police arrest both the suspects and the victims after responding to a burglary in Janesville.

Janesville police say they responded to a burglary in progress at a residence on the 100 block of Linn Street a little after 6:00 Friday night.

Although the suspect vehicle left prior to arrival, officers stopped it in the area of South Main and East Racine Streets.  Police say the vehicle's occupants, 31-year-old Jason B. McDonough of the Town of Harmony, and 21-year-old Kyle J. Schyvinck of Janesville admitted to breaking into the home to steal money from the residents.  The two were taken into custody on charges of burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.

When officers went back to secure the residence they say they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view, and later secured a search warrant.

Police then arrested the home's occupants as well.

32-year-old Jeddidiah J. Tiffany was arrested for felony possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony probation hold.

29-year-old Kelicha R. Johnston was arrested for misdemeanor possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.
