Walsh sentenced in Janesville woman's murder

A 24-year-old Rockford man will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars for the murder of an Afton woman.  Kody Walsh was sentenced Monday  to 110-years in prison in the death of 36-year-old Lori Daniels.  Walsh was found guilty of first degree murder, in the shooting death of Daniels, while the two were riding in an S-U-V on I-90 near Rockford in September of 2012.  During sentencing, a Winnebago County Judge also considered Walsh's violent criminal record stretching back to the age of 13, and his apparent association with the Satan's Disciples gang.  The judge said the murder "can only be described as an evil, inexplicable and cowardly act."   No motive for the murder has ever been revealed.
