Janesville Plan Commission picks option 2 for the new Central Fire Station

The Janesville Plan Commission votes three to two to support option two for the new Central Fire Station.

Option two means the City will have to acquire and demolish 12 homes instead of the seven homes which would need to be razed for option one.

Commissioners Kathy Voskuil, Edward Madere, and Doug Marklein voted in favor of supporting option two, while Commissioners George Brunner and Deb Dongara-Adams supported sending both options back to the City Council. Commissioner Robert Cosigny was absent, and Commissioner Judy Adler recused herself from the vote.
