Evansville moves towards 4K

Parents in Evansville may be able to send their four-year-olds to school soon.  The school board Wednesday unanimously approved a community-based four-year-old kindergarten program to start in the 2015-16 school year.  Discussion focused on the district being better off financially with 4K.  A five-year budget forecast predicts a more $1 million budget deficit without 4K, but less than $400 thousand with the program.
